Who We Are

Etete Business Group was founded with two sectors at its core: real estate and construction. From the very first project, the ambition was clear — to deliver homes and structures that reflected a quality of care rarely seen in the Ethiopian market at the time. Those early projects were difficult, formative, and defining.

As the real estate portfolio grew and the construction arm matured, leadership turned its attention to a sector deeply rooted in Ethiopian identity: coffee. Ethiopia is the birthplace of Arabica, and yet its extraordinary coffee — from Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Guji, and beyond — remained underleveraged on the global stage. Etete Coffee was established to change that, bringing Ethiopian specialty coffee to international buyers with the same commitment to quality that defined the group's built work.

Each sector has grown independently while remaining united under one philosophy. The construction division builds the properties the real estate arm develops. The coffee division carries the group's name into international markets. And each, in its own way, is an expression of the same founding belief: that Ethiopian businesses can and must set a higher standard.

Today, Etete Business Group is headquartered on Bole Atlas Road in Addis Ababa, with a growing team, a landmark tower under construction in Aware, and a coffee export operation reaching buyers across the world. The work continues — project by project, cup by cup, kilometre of structure at a time.
